The Tres Dias Community
Each Tres Dias community is much more than a collection of individuals who have attended a Tres Dias Weekend. We are a church-based community, planted in our local congregations, across many denominations of Christian faith. Many who attend a weekend continue to support the community by attending closing ceremonies, serving on the board, joining committees, hosting events, but most importantly, serving where they are based, in their local communities and churches.
Becoming a member of the community is easy. All you need to do is talk to one of us about attending a weekend.
Leadership
The team comes together under the direction of the Rector, a lay leader whose job, with the guidance of the Holy Spirit, is to assign the roles of all team members and help transform them into a loving and sharing team.
Service
All of the roles on the team are both leadership roles and service roles. The team members gather together for weeks prior to the weekend to prepare, to get to know each other, and to focus on the primary reason for being on team, to serve. It is not the team that makes teh weekend special. It is the presence of God. It is the team's job to set the stage so that God can make His presence known.
"The change was in all ways and in all things. First of all, I did not have a church I called home and I now do. I did not have a relationship with Christ, and now I do. We are now active in church-- youth ministry and other ministries, and of course Bible study. Our kids love to attend church. It's become their foundation and we are forever grateful."
